Arkham Knight Harley - The base of the costume and the harness

I have been slowly creating the harness and gathering materials for this confusing costume. I found two skirts from Goodwill. The first one has two layers of ruffles and the other skirt I found was a similar fabric so I layered them, this creating the three layered black skirt! I will be cutting the back of the skirts open to create a dress (with a top being sewn and added of course) with a large zipper down the back. I hope this makes sense. I am still trying to figure out how to "build" this simply because sewing this just won't look good- at least to my standards of the cosplay I wear- I also am building off a hot pink corset LOL.

Here is some photo references I have been using for specifically the harness and white shirt (I plan to make the two into a jacket that stays on via the harness).

This is the harness pinned together with a practice white shirt. I used fake leather that is used for the cording on furniture, sprayed it black, then sprayed the sides red after taping it. Lots of it needs retouched but the structure looks amazing and it looks really good on. The bust was cemented on and sewn by me, I basically created my own built in bra. I have the base of the gloves sewn plus the pretty frills~ I have yet to add details like the "corset" in the gloves. In this video, the silver circles are not at all where they need to be haha, I just wanted to see everything in one spot. I have the front panel started, even embroidered it with the diamond pattern that she has (this is also fake leather for furniture). The petticoat is a bit old but very useful!
