Dark Magician Girl (Yugi-oh) All Progress Photos + Captions

-Started making patterns (see Tutorials for how to make them)-

-Made a wire frame for the hat (which I scrapped) and began to trace my cut out patterns-

-Traced the front and back of the chest/shoulder piece-

-Cutting out all the armor-

-Shaping the armor, using thick gardening gloves for heat protection. ALWAYS wear gloves when using a heat gun-

-This was all the armor shaped and some covered with fabric. I did scrap that gold belt-

-Covering the pointy bit of the hat-

-Ankle and calf armor, again the scrapped belt-

-I used these super sparkly gems for decoration, this picture does not do them any justice cx-

-Here is kinda how sparkly they are and what brand I used. They came in a variety pack-

-Made the bodysuit myself, always make things a little too big at first even if it is stretchy-

-I  use the reverse button to really keep it sewed together-

-Wrapped the hat in its little Link kinda hat that I sewed-

-Making it a sweetheart neckline by pinching the fabric and hand-sewing-

-The hat now blue! :D Please ignore my dollfie cx-

-Kinda crappy but  used this to keep the new belt together-

-The main piece all covered. I sewed the pink and ironed on pleats then barged (a glue) it to the inside-

-The back, adding pink lining. I used the stuff to make the lining on some couches to do this-

-More pink lining, but on the hat (I used hot glue for all of the pink tubing)-

-The hat again with pink tubing-

-Finished from the front-

-Chest finished, front-

-Half of the hat and chest-

-These are the circle lenses I used. I don't remember the name or brand >~< but I do recommend these types for anime cosplays even if they look natural in the case-

-Hat complete-

-Gauntlets complete-

-I found some black clog shoes at goodwill then covered them in foam like so-

-Another view of the shoe-

-I barged some couch lining to give it even more of a fluffy, big look-

-As I wrapped it in fabric I stuffed some plushy fluff into the toe area-

-Shoe without gem side-

-Shoe without gem, front. These also made me almost 6 feet tall! Now add the hat height lol-

-All of it in a mess LOL-

-I hot glued a strapless bra into the bodysuit and made a plush want, since weapons are a no no for most conventions-
